JOIN THE DEBATE - NOVEMBER 17
We at CWC generally keep our politics to ourselves, but we have decided it is time for a debate! A Cabernet Sauvignon debate that is.
To assist us with this debate, we have secured the services of Brian Baker as the moderator. Brian is the National Sales Manager for the Unfiltered Collection Manager. Brian is also a certified Sommelier. However, according to the Hoosier Wine Guy, the best thing about Brian is that he is a fellow Hoosier! The Hoosier passion for wine comes through when you share wine with Brian.
Our debate will feature Napa Cab Sauvs. These wines will be 100% Cab Sauvs from 3 different single vineyards. The wines sampled will be from both the 2015 and 2016 vintage. The exact same winemaking techniques were used for all 6 wines, thus making this a terroir driven experience. In other words, it is all about the diversity of the dirt. The vineyards represented will be Beckstoffer Dr. Cane, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper, and Beckstoffer To Kalon. Which wine is the best? You be the judge.
This debate will be very much a S.I.P. event (Social Interactive Playtime), so please come share in the wines and voice your opinion. We are sure each person will find their own favorite, but remember there are no wrong answers, so be sure to enjoy the differences of opinions. As the Hoosier Wine Guy’s grandfather liked to say, “If everyone leaned the same way, the world would tip over!”
This will be a family style event with very limited seating. The price is just $50.00++ per person. Since these wines are high quality and 100% Cab Sauv single vineyard, Carol has already stated that she is sitting in on this one! So if you share Carol’s profile, this is the event for you. This great debate will be held on November 17th, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Join us as we experience Brian’s Hoosier hospitality.
THE DAL FORNO ATTIC EVENT - DECEMBER 7
Wow! What luck! Jessica has managed to acquire a 6 vintage vertical of one of our family’s favorite wines! We all enjoy a good Amarone wine and the one that makes us do cartwheels is produced by the Dal Forno family.
We are even more fortunate in that Tony Tirello from Augustan Wines will be leading this event. Tony introduced us to this great Amarone and shares our love for Dal Forno wine and will share some insider information. Tony is a seasoned wine professional and has a wealth of knowledge.
While the 6 vintage vertical of Dal Forno Amarone will be the highlight of the event, there will be other wines to share!
This event will be held in Jessica’s Attic and will be limited to just 10 people. As always for an Attic event, you must be able to climb stairs.
Please join us on December 7th, beginning at 5:00 p.m., for this incredible evening of wine tasting! The cost is $200.00++ per person. Discounts are not applicable for this event. 904.217.4751
